The partner on the jury started screaming at me: "I worked hard for this office and I'm entitled to my full 38m2". In three seconds I lost the competition.... 2

The theme of not creating streets, but stringing piazza's together has been a long time on my mind.

I found some urban design studies for Water Quarter in Zeewolde in 2008. Bringing in the outside water level into the polder gave an interesting section behind the dike..... 2

The inflatable storm-lock is located in the dike, but is only used when there is actually a storm. In normal use it is not a barrier, and you can bring in the boats into the polder.... 1
